CAN BE PAINTED ON
-
Brown leveling clay plaster;
-
Decorative clay plaster;
-
Old clay paint.
If you want to paint on other surfaces listed below, we recommend first testing a small area to evaluate whether you like the final result:
-
Gypsum plaster / lime plaster / cement plaster;
-
Plasterboard;
-
Gypsum fiber board;
-
Cement, wood-fiber, and other construction boards intended for plastering or skim coating;
-
Previously skim-coated, painted, and sanded surfaces.
Please note that the surface must be sufficiently smooth, as clay paint is applied in a thin layer and will not hide small wall imperfections the way decorative clay plaster can.

COLORS
Clay paint is a dry mineral mixture to which the chosen mineral pigment is added. When selecting a color, use the standard color palette designed for white decorative clay plaster. The shade will not be identical, but very close.

MIX PREPARATION
Pour 12–13 L of water into a container of at least 20 L. Add the entire pigment amount (if using color) and mix thoroughly with an electric mixer. While continuing to mix, slowly pour in the full package of clay paint. Mix well, cover the container, and allow the mixture to soak for at least 1 hour.
The mixture may appear quite thin at first, but it will thicken over time. Mix again before painting.
USAGE TIME OF PREPARED MIX
Keep the prepared clay paint covered in a cool place. It is recommended to use it within 1–2 weeks.
APPLICATION / TOOLS
Clay paint can be applied with a roller, brush, or mechanically.
DRYING TIME
Depending on temperature, humidity, and the size of the painted area, drying can take 4 to 24 hours.
