- Like all lacquers, it can slightly enhance/warm up the final colour of the walls.
SUITABLE SURFACES
Suitable not only for Mr. Clay clay mixes, but also for all old or new mineral plasters and concrete surfaces. For more information please refer to the technical data sheets.
SURFACE PREPARATION
The surface of the clay plaster or ClayBeton decorative plaster must be dry and hardened.
RECOMMENDATIONS FOR USE
The varnish can be applied directly onto Mr. Clay clay mixtures. Higher resistance is achieved by applying 2 coats. We recommend that the second coat is applied only after the first coat has completely dried. The varnish must be thoroughly mixed before use. Apply in short, directional movements. We recommend using the Storch DuraStar 12 roller for varnishing clay mixtures.
! COMMON NAIL VARNISHING MISTAKES
We do not recommend that, when varnishing walls, the entire perimeter of the external or internal corners should be prefinished. There is a high risk of having dents/breaks where the freshly applied varnish will go on the already absorbed varnish surface. Roll the varnish wet with a roller and increase the area consistently. To protect adjacent walls, they can be taped with paint protection strips and an additional larger putty knife can be inserted in the inner corner to prevent the adjacent wall from getting stuck and to avoid the need to slow down during the varnishing. If you are painting for the first time, we recommend that you paint one or two walls first, assess the result when dry and then proceed.

STORAGE RECOMMENDATIONS
The lacquer will not dry out after opening the packaging, but we recommend that you use it as soon as possible - within 3-7 days - as the preservatives used in the formulation are preservatives that do not guarantee a long shelf life. Before closing the container for further use, wipe the sides of the bucket and the lid to prevent a film of drying varnish from hardening and falling into the remaining varnish.
