"Svencelė" decorative clay plaster 0-2,5 mm

Brown decorative clay plaster is a mineral-based mixture designed for the final interior wall finishing of residential and commercial spaces. The product is natural and vapor-permeable, and it absorbs liquids, therefore it is suitable only for dry indoor areas where it will not come into direct contact with water, dirt, or grease.
To improve performance characteristics, it is recommended to additionally coat the surface with Mr. Clay “Varnish No. 1”.

COLORS

The base mixture is brownish in color. A palette of 15 standard colors has been developed, but it can also be tinted manually with any mineral pigments from the MR. CLAY collection, which includes more than 100 different shades.

When ordering clay plaster in a chosen color, you will receive the base-colored clay mixture along with a jar of pigment. Since color pigments are custom-made according to your order, they cannot be exchanged or returned.

MIXTURE PREPARATION

Pour 5–5.5 L of water into a container with a capacity of at least 35 L. Add the entire pigment (if using colored plaster) and mix thoroughly with an electric mixer. While mixing, slowly add the full package of decorative clay plaster and mix again thoroughly. Cover the container and let the mixture rest and swell for at least 1 hour. The mixture may initially appear runny but will thicken over time. Stir again before starting the plastering work.
Note: The wet mixture color will appear more intense than when dry.

SHELF LIFE OF THE PREPARED MIXTURE

Keep the prepared mixture covered in a cool room. Use within 1–2 weeks.

APPLICATION / TOOLS

Clay plaster can be applied to the surface using a trowel, a roller for plaster application, or mechanically. Use stainless steel trowels with a top handle or conventional plastering tools. For surface finishing, select tools according to the decorative technique – such as PVC floats, brushes, sponges, etc. Tool selection may affect the final wall finish.

PLASTER THICKNESS

Decorative clay plaster is applied once or twice, depending on the desired result. Avoid direct sunlight and drafts during application.

DRYING TIME

Depending on ambient temperature, humidity, and surface area, drying time may vary from 4 to 24 hours.
