MIXING PIGMENTS WITH THE CLAY MIX
Add the entire content of the pigment jar into the full amount of water required for the decorative clay plaster or any other clay mixture (the water quantity is listed in the product’s technical information). Mix well, and while stirring slowly, pour in the entire package of the clay mixture. If you reverse the order of mixing, the pigment may not blend properly!
The quality of mixing also greatly depends on using a mixer of the correct power and size, as well as a suitable container.
Mineral pigments are harmless and do not stain skin or clothing — they wash off with water.
Important!
Some pigment colors contain red mineral pigment, which is more difficult to disperse. Therefore, we recommend more thorough mixing methods if small red pigment grains remain after standard mixing:
-
Pour the entire pigment jar into the water through a fine sieve, rubbing it through with a spoon.
-
Mix the full pigment amount with a little water and strain it through a dense fabric/cheesecloth.
