PURPOSE

Designed for priming plaster, concrete, asbestos cement, silicate concrete, expanded clay concrete, silicate and ceramic brick surfaces both indoors and outdoors before applying structural plasters PROTEX Siloxane and PROTEX Silicone.

Technical Data

• Water vapor permeability: Class V1 (LST EN 1504-2)

• Low water absorption: Class W2 (LST EN 15824)

• High adhesion: Adhesion strength by pull-off > 0.3 MPa (LST EN 1542)

SURFACE PREPARATION

The substrate must be dry, firm, smooth, and clean. When applied on mineral plaster or leveling compounds, the carbonation process of the substrate must be complete (under normal conditions, this takes 2–4 weeks).

APPLICATION

The primer must be thoroughly mixed with a slow-speed mixer. It can be diluted with water up to 10%. Apply the primer evenly.
It is not recommended to apply the primer on surfaces exposed to direct sunlight, in conditions of very high humidity, or strong wind.
Work should be carried out at a temperature not lower than +5 °C and protect the surface from precipitation. Under normal weather conditions (20 °C, 60% humidity), the surface will dry within 4 hours.

APPLICATION METHOD

Apply with a sprayer, brush, or roller.

COVERAGE

One 15 kg bucket covers up to 45 m² with a single coat. Consumption may vary depending on the properties of the substrate and the application method.

ENVIRONMENTAL AND SAFETY MEASURES

Keep out of reach of children. Do not pour into drains.
Contains 1,2-benzisothiazol-3(2H)-one, a mixture of 5-chloro-2-methyl-4-isothiazolin-3-one, 2-methyl-4-isothiazolin-3-one (3:1), and 2-octyl-2H-isothiazol-3-one.
May cause an allergic reaction. We recommend wearing protective gloves/clothing/eye (face)/respiratory protection.

TOOL CLEANING

Clean tools with water.
